It was with huge excitement that we decided to make the move to rural West Wales in 2010. We wanted a better, healthier life for our two year old. A childhood, like my own, where she could run free and enjoy life by the sea. The reality has been a mixture of highs and lows… of mud and stars!!! Realising that this precious time was passing without any record, I decided to try to document it in a series of photos…

The day of the hole in the head!!
It all started with some happy play with flour and water...
And then suddenly Amelie tumbled head first into a corner of a table... and a there was a horrible hole! Luckily Baba was on hand to whisk us to the local hospital where a nurse stuck the hole together with glue, and fingers crossed she will be as good as new very soon
